Ms. Mamie Sue Pitts, daughter of the late Peter and Mary Young Pitts, was born in Spartanburg County on March 14, 1929.

She went home to be with the Lord on Saturday Night, March 16, 2019.

Mamie Sue resided in Woodruff, SC until she moved to New York, NY. She was a caregiver in New York for many years.

When her health declined she moved back to Woodruff, SC with her niece Mary Ann Pitts Faulk, then onto Woodruff Manor where she passed away.

Ms. Pitts was preceded in death by three brothers, Buddy, William and James; and seven sisters, Louise, Ollie Mae, Mary, Mallie, Etolia, Mattie Jean and Katherine. Left to cherish fond and loving memories are two nieces, Mary Ann P. Faulk of Woodruff, SC and Angenette D. (Pete) Green of Woodruff, SC; one nephew, Walter Duncan of Atlanta, GA; nine great nephews, seven great nieces and a host of great-great nephews and nieces, cousins, other relatives and Friends.
