Myrtle Gilliam Watson, 84 of 3363 Flagstone Trace died February 9, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Ross Lee Gilliam and Willie Mae Norman Gilliam and wife of the late Edward W. Watson. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, Spartanburg, SC, Deaconess of the church and retired from AT & T Inc.

Left to cherish loving memories are; one daughter, Joanne Ferguson of Bronx, NY; one granddaughter, Sharon “Nessie” Gilliam of Bronx, NY; three sisters, Mattie R. (James) Miller of Roebuck, SC, Patricia (Lewis) Booker of Greenville, SC. Margaret (Joe) Gilliam– Roberson of Ellenwood, GA; five brothers, Benny Gilliam of Brooklyn, NY, Henry Gilliam of Baltimore, MD, Johnnie (Irene) Gilliam of Brooklyn, NY, JW (Rev. Rosa) Walton of Spartanburg, SC and James (Shirley) Gilliam of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 18,  2022 at 12 noon at Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church, Woodruff, SC with burial in Church Cemetery. Public viewing will held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 1 to 7 pm at WJ Gist Memorial Chapel, Woodruff, SC.
