Life Profile

Mr. Odell Goodman Jr, affectionately known as “Punkin”, of 2304 Old Spartanburg Highway in Woodruff, SC, entered eternal rest on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, Spartanburg, SC.

Odell was born in Spartanburg County on September 16, 1935 to the late Linda and Odell Goodman Sr. He was married to the late Nancy L. Goodman for 63 years. He was an Army veteran and a retired truck driver.

He was a member of Switzer Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Moore, SC, where he served as a trustee until his health
declined.

Odell was preceded in death by; two sons, Perry Goodman and Anthony Goodman; four sisters, Jannie Jones, Nina Nash, Ola Thompson, and Louise Williams; four brothers, Joseph Goodman, John Goodman, Arthur Goodman and Robert Goodman.

He leaves to cherish three daughters, Phyllis (Emory) Montgomery of Rialto, CA, Lala Mae Jeter and Tara Foster both of Spartanburg SC; two sons, Milton Browning of Woodruff, SC and Venson Harris of Wellford, SC; one sister, Alice (Willie) Jones of Spartanburg SC; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
