Marcellas Rashard Dial Sr. of 210 Douglas Street, Glendale, SC was born February 12, 1979 in Greenville, SC.

Marcellas transitioned this life on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 8:19 am. Marcellas was the son of the late Marion Joe Kennedy and Deborah Dial-Barksdale-Smith of the home and step-son of John Wesley Smith.

Marcellas was reared in Greenville, SC until the age of 10 when the family moved to Spartanburg, SC. Marcellas was a student at Spartanburg High School where he received his GED in September 2000. Marcellas was a gifted basketball player and excelled in Computer Aided drafting/engineering. Marcellas worked in several service industries and last worked at the Charles Lee Center for 14 years until his health declined.

Marcellas was a kind and humble man. He was always willing to listen and encourage. When he said he loved you, he meant it from his heart and those words were his bond.

Other survivors include; his son, Marcellas Rashard Dial Jr., of Woodruff, SC; step-daughters, Toeliyah Mays, Sherita Dial, Mathias Dial, Amanda Dial and Mykel Dial, all of Woodruff, SC; former wife, Latoya Foster of Woodruff, SC; one brother, William B. Dial of Spartanburg, SC; two step-brothers, Travis and Dantonio Smith both of Woodruff, SC; one step-sister, Sherita Kennedy of Greenville, SC; two grandsons, Trenton and Triston Mays, both of Woodruff, SC; one cousin, James Clark of Spartanburg, SC; great-aunts, aunts, uncles and host of other relatives and friends.
