Life Profile

Lewis H. Young, 81, of 522 Corning Street, Anderson, South Carolina entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Physical Rehabilitation and Wellness Center of Spartanburg.

He was born in Spartanburg County and was the son of the late James EM Young and Karetha Greene.

He attended New Bethel High School, Woodruff, South Carolina, and was a member of Harrison Grove Baptist Church, Roebuck, South Carolina.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Williams Young, one brother, Frank Young; one sister, Minnie McClintock; and one son-in-law, John Johnson.

Mr. Young leaves to cherish loving memories, three daughters, Damita Johnson of Anderson, SC, Tanya (James) Parks and Elaine (Armando) Mays-Agustin both of Spartanburg, SC; four sons, Vada (Mary) Williams of Moore, SC, Wangari (Yashica) Young and Roger Walton both of Spartanburg, SC, and Dennis (Jackie) Allen of Woodruff, SC; three grand children reared in the home Shaleta (Timothy) Jeter-Gage of Greer, South Carolina, Ja-Tarvis Young and Dejuan Young both of Spartanburg, South Carolina; three sisters, Annie Pearl Pearson and Sheena (Richard) Bryson both of Woodruff, SC, and Diane McMahan of Greenville, SC; one brother, Randy McMahan of Greenville, SC; one special grandchild China Whitmire; one great-aunt Martha Greene; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
