Mr. Johnnie Lewis Leake, was the husband of the late Delphine Beagle Leake and the son of the late James Lewis Leake, and Willie and Lillie Mae Bates Williams. He was born October 13,1949 in Laurens County and departed this life on Tuesday, December 29, 2020.

He was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church in Enoree, SC and a former employee of Inman Mills for over 35 years until his health started to fail.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Montgomery and Ruby Nell Scurry.

Left to cherish fond memories are one daughter Mackenzie Leake of the home, two sons, Kevin D. Leake of Pelzer, SC and Rodney Burnside of Laurens, SC; three brothers, James Calvin Bates and Freddie Lee Leake, both of Enoree, SC, and Rossi McGee of Laurens, SC; Three aunts, Ruby Lee Parks of Laurens, SC, Mildred Mack of Enoree, SC, and Genell Briggs of Queens, NY; three brothers-in-law, Milford Beagle Sr. of Enoree, SC, and Jimmie (Johnnie Mae) Beagle and Hershel (Linda) Beagle, both of Fountain Inn, SC; two sisters-in-law, Angela Beagle of Fountain Inn, SC and Lillie Ruth Arnett of Fairmont, NC, three grandchildren, Raadyah Burnside of Laurens, SC, Kyla Goggans of Joanna, SC, and one grandson reared in the home, Ashton Leake; and three special cousins that love him dearly, Raymond “Bo” Mack, Vernessia “Net” Parks and Thommy Glover; and a host of other relatives and friends who also loved him dearly.
