Mr. Calvin “Light Bulb” Hunter, 61, blessed the angels with his presence on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 10:10 am at home.

Calvin was born December 30, 1955 in Greenville, SC to the late Arthur Hunter Jr. and Mamie Hunter Grady of Woodruff, SC.

Calvin was a Woodruff High School class of 1976 graduate. He served in the United States Army for twelve years. Calvin worked ten years at Owens Illinois in North
Carolina. Later he worked at Sage Automotive in Spartanburg for eight years.

He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories, his wife, Shirley S. Hunter; one daughter, Latasha Hunter of Rockingham,NC; Six sons, Calvin Jr. and Antonio Glenn, both of Spartanburg, SC, Quintin Hunter of Rockingham, NC, Quindell Griffin of Rockingham, NC; Devoxeon Scott of Woodruff, SC and Octavius Mays of Spartanburg, SC; His devoted twin, Minister Carolyn Hunter Alexander, another sister, Rosa (DeGrant) Stevenson; four brothers, Melvin Hunter, Thomas (Rena) Hunter, Terry Hunter and Jerry Hunter, all of Woodruff, SC; twenty-five grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Fuller and Jimmy Hunter.
