Life Profile

Mr. Albert Williams, 81, of 11360 Highway 56 in Cross Anchor, S.C. was born on October 13, 1939 in Spartanburg County. He was the son of the late Bertha Briggs Williams and Marcella Williams.

He was a graduate of New Bethel High School. He also served in the United States Army.

He was employed by National Starch and the City of Clinton, South Carolina. He was a member of Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church
in Cross Anchor, SC.

In addition to his parents, Albert was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Williams, Roy Williams, Tommie L.
Briggs and Roger Briggs.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories of him are: his wife of 53 years, Evelyn Williams of Cross Anchor, S.C.; One daughter Tyesha (Danny) Fulmer of Woodruff, S.C.; two sons Sonny Davis of Clinton, S.C.; Maurice (Morgan) Williams Sr. of Boiling Springs, S.C.; one grandchild reared in the home, Zshykeria Stevenson,a niece who he helped raise, Telecia (Derrell) Bryson of Woodruff, S.C.; a special cousin who helped to care for him, Julia M. Hall of Cross Anchor, S.C.; Five sister in laws, Christine Williams of Cross Keys, S.C., Betty J. Bluford of Mountville, S.C.; Josie Nance of Laurens, S.C.; Leona Boyce of Laurens, S.C.; Floya Cheeks of Spartanburg, S.C.; two brother in laws; Bluford Cheeks of Laurens, S.C.; and John Copeland of Clinton, S.C.; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
