Mr. Calvin Irby, 67, of 124B Shennandale Circle in Woodruff, South Carolina was born on April 8, 1951 in Laurens County, South Carolina to the late Wydemon Irby and Floree Todd Irby.

At an early age, he joined the Beaverdam Baptist Church in Enoree, South Carolina. He was also employed with W. R. Grace and Inman Mills earlier in his life.

Calvin, a native of Laurens County, attended the public schools of Laurens County and was a 1969 graduate of Sanders High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Irby Terry; a brother, Harrison Irby; and a twin brother, Alvin Irby. Mr. Irby entered Eternal Rest on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He leaves to cherish precious memories three daughters, April Latoya (Tory) Watkins and Omeka Mays both of Woodruff, SC, and Ursula (Carl) Wright of Roebuck, SC; one son, Billy Rice of San Diego, CA; three sisters, Betty (Julius) Ogburn of Woodruff, SC, Lillie Ruth (George) Matthews of Charlotte, NC, and Debra (George) Stephens of Riviera Beach, FL; seven grandchildren; one great grandson, two god sisters, Philemena Westfield and Ann (John) Glenn; one god brother, Ricky (Debra) Westfield; a good friend Malichi McBeth, and a host of other relatives and friends who loved him dearly.
