HONORING HIS LIFE

We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Albert Westfield Sr. He was born November 22, 1948 in Laurens, SC to Benjamin J. Westfield Sr. and Mae Lizzie Linsey Westfield. He departed this life on March 12, 2021 in Simpsonville, SC.

He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Enoree, SC and retired from Spartanburg Methodist College, Spartanburg, SC.

He was preceded in death by his son Rodney D. Westfield; one brother, Benjamin Nump Westfield Jr.; four sisters, Mammie Harris, Ruth Bates, Shirley Wimphrie and Lillie Dillard.

Albert leaves to cherish his memories; his wife, Grace Philson Westfield of Woodruff, SC; two daughters Melissa Watson (Alex) of Simpsonville, SC, Marsha Hopkins (Keith) of Union, SC; two sons Albert Westfield Jr of Spartanburg, SC, Christopher Westfield (Wanda) of Ft. Pierce FL; one granddaughter D’ Monei, of the home; Albert Sr. twin brother Aligie Westfield of Waterloo, SC and three additional brothers James “Bill” Westfield and Nathaniel “BB” Westfield, both of Gray Court, SC, and Ben Joe Westfield of Laurens, SC; three sisters, Helen Harris of Laurens, SC, Sarah Woodruff of Waterloo, SC and Lois Hill of Gray Court, SC; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, a best friend, Steven M. Rice of Spartanburg, SC, and a host of other relatives and friends.
