ROEBUCK, SC–Mr. Bonner Oree Casey, entered rest on March 1, 2016. Affectionately known as “Oree” and “Casey,” he was the son of the late Landon and Helen Pearson Casey. He was a native of Spartanburg County and attended the Old Riverside School. He was married to the late Ruth Rice Casey and to this union there were four children reared in the home in Washington, DC. After locating to Gaithersburg, MD., he met and married the late Etta Diggs Casey. He was a member of Sugar Loaf Mountain Christian Church. Oree was employed with Kettler Brothers from which he retired after 40 years of service. Left to cherish fond memories are his children; Dianne McCree of Temple Hill, MD, Judy Casey of Fort Worth, TX, Chives Casey and Charles(Debra) Casey, both of Upper Marlboro, MD., one brother, Lewis(Carol) Casey of Roebuck, SC; step-children Joe Womack, Rocky Mount, NC, Ruth A. White, Paul A. Diggs(Donna) and Myron L. Diggs, all of Frederick, MD., Calvin M. Diggs(Phyllis) and Monte L. Diggs(Marie), both of Walkersville, MD and Kathleen R. Howard of Gaithersburg, MD. The family is at home of his brother and sister-in-law Lewis & Carol Casey, 3590 Walnut Grove Road, Roebuck, SC. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the W. J. Gist Memorial Chapel 519 Workman Ave., Woodruff, SC.
