Mr. Ricky Byrd

Mr. Ricky Byrd was born on May 26, 1961 in Laurens County. He was the son of the late RD Sr. and Sarah Byrd. Ricky entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg, SC.

He attended Laurens County School district and was a United States Army Veteran.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, four daughters, Sophia Byrd of Charlotte NC, Whitley Brown, Sharecka and Ricketia Byrd, all of Laurens SC, seven sisters, Dorothy (George) Turner of Clinton SC, Hattie Mae (Bennie) Hunter and Geraldine Scott, both of Woodruff, SC, Loretta (David) Kesler of Laurens, SC, Madonna Byrd of Moore, SC, Sarah K. Byrd of Washington, DC and Mary Simpson of St. Louis, MO, three brothers, John L. (Gardenia) Byrd of Enoree, SC, Melvin (Tammy) Byrd of Spartanburg, SC and RD (Debra) Byrd Jr., of Woodruff SC; seven grandchildren, Benatia and Alyetia Layne, Takailah Grigley, Nevaih Howell, Janiyah, Jamarcus and Jessiah Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Floyd, Barbara Byrd and Jaqueline Byrd, one brother, James Robert Byrd.
