Mr. Robert L. Gist

Mr. Robert “Bob” Gist was born on August 21, 1947 to Lucy Dawkins Gist and the late Odell Gist.

He was the husband of Alnisa Scott Gist of the Home.

He attended School in Spartanburg County and was a former employee of Delta Airlines and a member of Allen Chapel United Methodist Church in Spartanburg, SC.

He was preceded in death by brother, Franklin Bennett and sister-in-law, Bettie Bennett.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one daughter, Pamela Gist Schaefer of Germany; one son, Todd O. Gist of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Lonnie Mae Mack of Spartanburg, SC,  Mary Lee Tucker of Washington D.C.; two brothers, James Marcella (Ollie) Gist of Spartanburg, SC and Freddie (Shirley) Gist of Raleigh, NC; four sisters-in-law, Phyllis Haygood (Bill), Patricia Fair (Maurice), Erna Fuller, Eleanor Godwin, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
