Mr. Norris S. Bates, 30 of 10 Largess Lane, Piedmont, SC, entered eternal rest on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC. Mr. Bates was a native of Spartanburg County. He was the husband of Tiffany Bates of the home and son of James A. Bates of Gray Court, SC and Mary Young Bates of Piedmont, SC. He was a member of the Beaverdam Baptist Church in Enoree, SC. He was the President of YGF Auto Club out of Laurens, SC and Jimmy Harris was Co– Founders. In Addition to his wife and parents, he leaves to cherish memories; four daughters, Nadia Bates, Azaria Johnson, Noraelyn Bates and India Belcher; one sister, Celeste Young; paternal grandparents, Mrs. Bennie Ruth Westfield Bates of Enoree, SC and the late James W. Bates; maternal grandparents, Mrs. Minnie Louise Young of Mauldin, SC; one niece, Celayia Jackson and one nephew, Jaquavious Young; father and mother–inlaws, John L. Barber and Linda C. Barber of Simpsonville, SC; and host of other relatives and friends. | |
