LIFE PROFILE
Reverend Clyde Monroe Eison, Sr., was born on April 23, 1942 in Union County to the late Johnny Eison and Ethel Byrd. Rev. Eison gained his wings on October 12, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center, Spartanburg, SC.
He was a former employee of The Draper Corporation, Spartanburg, SC. Rev. Eison was the founder of New Mission Church, Pacolet, SC and former Pastor of Mitchell Chapter Baptist Church, Union SC. For over forty-two years, he ministered to the community and the surrounding area.
Rev. Eison was preceded in death by one son, Clyde Eison Jr.; one sister Agnes Byrd and one brother, Harold Byrd.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Hazel Tracey Eison of the Home; two daughters, Stephanie Bailey of Pacolet, SC, Karen (Barry) Foster of Spartanburg, SC; one son Johnnie Eison of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Addie Williams of Spartanburg, SC; five brothers, Curtis Byrd, Earl (Rosalyn) Byrd and Johnny Lee (Carolyn) Byrd, all of Spartanburg, SC, Leon Byrd and Calvin Byrd, both of Pacolet, SC; five grandchildren reared in the home, Joie (Danielle) Eison, Angela (Lamar) Pilgrim, Deundra Eison, Morris C. Hill and Darren Foster; additional grandchildren, Chantel (Greg) Eison Bell, and DeAndreal Dale; twenty great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends.
