James Robert Byrd was born on November 16, 1957 in Laurens County. He was the son of the late RD Sr. and Sarah Parks Byrd.
James entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 20,2019 at Spartanburg Regional in Spartanburg, SC.
He attended Lauren’s County School district and former employees of Lil cricket in Enoree SC.
He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: four brothers, John L. (Gardenia) Byrd of Enoree, SC, RD (Debra) Byrd, Jr of Woodruff, SC, Ricky Byrd of Columbia, SC and Melvin (Tammy) Byrd of Spartanburg, SC; seven sisters, Dorothy (George) Turner of Clinton, SC, Hattie Mae (Bennie) Hunter, Geraldine Scott, both of Woodruff, SC, Loretta (David) Kesler of Laurens, SC, Madonna Byrd of Moore, SC, Sarah K. Byrd of Washington, DC, Mary Simpson of St. Louis, MO; a best friend Archie Gray Jr. of Enoree, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret Floyd, Barbara Byrd and Jacqueline Byrd.
