Mr. Lamar Thompson, 53 of 435 Bens Creek Road, Woodruff SC, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at MUSC Health University, Charleston, SC.

He was the son of the late Eddie Allen Thompson Sr. and Gladys Vernette Thompson.

Survivors include a daughter Lakisha Maria Thompson of Greer SC , one sister Tammy (Craig) Hunter of Duncan SC, three brothers, Eddie Allen Thompson Jr., Toney Jones and Brian (Jocelyn) Jones all of Woodruff, SC, one granddaughter Patience Mary-Ann Jones of Greer, SC and a very special friend, Annea Annette Gray of Duncan, one sister in- law, Angie Thompson of Spartanburg SC and one brother- in law Antonio Hill of Woodruff SC.  

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 12 noon at New Bethel Baptist Church, Woodruff SC with burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Greer SC.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday,July 23, 2024 at The WJ Gist Memorial Chapel, Woodruff SC from 1 to 6 pm.

WJ Gist Mortuary is in Charge of arrangements.
