Sheresa Jenkins Sitton, affectionately known as “Ree” 52, of Walnut Grove Road, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 4th, after an extensive illness. Sheresa was the daughter of the late Mr. Sammie Lee and Patricia Kelly Jenkins. She was a graduate of Woodruff High School Class of 1981 and received a computer science degree from Spartanburg Technical College in 1983. Upon graduation she began working in the quality lab at Monsanto (MEMC) for over 10 years. On June 30, 1990, she was joined in holy matrimony to Deacon Melvin Frank Sitton and from this union they reared a lovely daughter, Kamara Nicole Sitton. Sheresa expounded on her passion for rearing children and literacy by working for and volunteering with Spartanburg County School District Four. She was baptized at an early age and was a dedicated servant of the Lord during her tenure as a faithful member of Mt. Alexander Baptist Church.

Left to cherish loving memories are her mother-in-law, Marie Sitton, adopted father-in-law, Willie Harris, a father-in-law, Charles Murphy; three brothers, Wallace Glenn; LeShawne (Karesse) Jenkins; Eric (Leslie) Jenkins; two sisters – Alveta Jenkins Brown and Marcia (Brian) Jenkins Greene; two sister-in-laws – Niki Richardson and Dawn Page; two brother-in-laws – Bernard Cruell and Victor (Debbie) Sherman; a great uncle – Lewis (Carol) Casey; uncles – Larry (Delcenie) Kelly, Bill Sitton, James (Jenny) Sitton, Willie (Francis) Sitton, James “Cle” (Beverly) Murphy, Larry (Marie) Murphy; aunts – Pearly (late Raymond) Perry, Laura Ann PeeGea, Margie (Nelson) Straughn, JoAnne (Mike) Cohen, Clarie Johnson, Liz Brown, Jacqueline Lewis Glenn, Elizabeth (KP) Henderson; special cousins -Kellen Staggs and his son, Kaden Staggs, Kendall A. Casey, Alexis Staggs Dugar and her children Gabrielle Alinda Ballenger and Ryan Michael Dugar; nieces and nephews – Landon Jenkins, Porscha Jenkins, Treylen Brown, Freddie Brown, III, Kiona Smith, Kiana Manigan-Jenkins, Olivia Manigan-Jenkins and Antoine Manigan-Jenkins; God children – Natasha Pena, Courtney Elmore, Neal Gray, Shaylon Green.

She was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Margie Sitton; aunt, Linda Staggs, uncles – Nathaniel Glenn, Henry Kelly, Jr., Walter Lee Kelly, Raymond Perry, Stanley Staggs, grand-mothers – Mossie Casey Jenkins and Macey Haile Kelly, and grand-fathers – Clarence Jenkins and Henry Kelly, Sr.
