Rev. Robert Hall, Sr. of Cross Anchor, SC entered eternal rest on Friday, February 23, 2018.
Rev. Hall was born on March 3, 1943 in Newberry, SC. He moved with his family to the Cross Anchor community and joined the Mt. Zion CME Church where he served faithfully until God called him to minister. Rev. Hall officially answered God’s calling on June 1, 1985.
Since he has served as pastor of Forest Chapel in Forest City,, NC, Stony Knoll in Mill Springs, NC and lastly at Wofford Chapel in Pauline, SC. Rev. Hall’s love for the Lord shined through everywhere he went.
The greatest love of all was shared with his beloved wife, Janie for fifty-two years. He also loved working in his garden and being outside. He worked thirty-five years at Inman Mills in Enoree, SC. His service, selflessness, humor, wisdom and legacy will be remembered forever with his loved ones.
Rev. Hall was one of the greatest of God’s kingdom; well done good and faithful servant!. Rev. Hall was born into a large family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ethel Hall; five brothers, Clarence Hall Jr., Lewis Nelson Hall Sr., Isaiah Hall, Saul Hall, Theodore Hall Sr.; three sisters, Alice Hall, Isabel Dawkins and Albarea Martin; and Daughter-in-Law, Elaine Hall. Rev. Hall left to cherish fond memories, a loving wife, Janie M. Hall; two sons, Robert (Aretha) Hall Jr. of Cross Anchor, SC and Scottie Hall of Gray Court, SC; one daughter, Catina (Kelly) Mills of Moore, SC; six grandchildren, Candace Jefferson, Rochelle Morton, Rokeishia Moates, Caprisha Hall, Dequoise Hall and Braxton Mills; Seven great grand-children; two sisters, Lillian Johnson of Hartford, CT and Ethel (Harold) Pinckney of Charleston, SC; three brothers, Willie (Mary) Hall Sr., Arthur (Willie Pearl) Hall, both of Cross Anchor, SC, and Obadiah Hall of Boiling Springs, SC; Mother-in-Law, Sally Jeter Venson; three sisters-in-law, Julia Hall, Barbara Venson and Lucinda Benson; one brother-in-law, John Vinson of Cross Anchor, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other cherished friends.
