Reverend Alfred Nathaniel Lyles, Jr entered eternal rest on Friday, June 12, 2020 after a brief illness.

He was a native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina. Rev. Lyles was the son of the late Agnes Woodruff Lyles and Robert Lyles.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Johnson Lyles.

He was the widower of Lonnie Mae Knolton Lyles and Irene Downs Lyles.

He was the former Pastor of Missions For Christ Baptist Church of Moore, South Carolina. He was retired from General Motors in Detroit, Michigan.

Rev. Lyles is preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Sartor and Nancy Irby and one brother, Douglas Lyles.

Left to cherish his fond memories are three sons, Alexander Emmanuel Lyles (Tiffanie), Marcus Johnson and Ernest Smith; three daughters, Jannette Crystal (Rev. Jefferson), Dr. Fran Gaines (Dr. Anthony) and Ernette Lightfoot; two brothers, Lee A. Lyles and Marshall (LaVida) Lyles; four sisters, Noralee (Joe Lewis) Miller, Lillian (Michael) Wofford, Earnestine Bankhead and Roberta (Sylvester) Sims; Fourteen grandchildren, Corinthians, Dexter, Jervan, Cierra, Amichia, Deshawn, Alexander, Briana, Leona, Shayona, Jayona Jayceon, Jayden, Jaylen; eighteen greatgrandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; two special god-children, Ministers Jacqueline and Lewis Thomas, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
