Omeka Lashaun Mays, 43, of 237 Fairview St., Woodruff, SC departed October 10, 2019 at Spartanburg Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC.

A native of Spartanburg County, she was the daughter of Elder Helen Ann Mays Irby and the late Calvin Irby.

She was a graduate Woodruff High School, Class of 1994. She was employed at Adidas America for over 10 years.

She was a faithful member of the New Prospect Baptist Church in Enoree S.C. She was a past choir member. She was the Youth Choir Director. She was a former Magarette Bell Dancer.

Omeka attended USC Upstate. She was loved by everyone. She had a gentle, loving, sweet spirit.

Leaving to cherish her fond memories; one son, Austin Miguel Mays of Boiling Spring, SC; two daughters, Aquila Temiya Mays of Woodruff, SC and A’Sydney Linetria Robinson; one grandson, Zayden Nahtyriean Wedman; two sisters, Ursula (Carl) Wright of Roebuck, SC and April (Tory) Watkins of the home; two aunts, Debra (R.D) Byrd and Betty Beaty of Woodruff, SC; two, Great Aunt, Maggie Hunter, Mary Bland; four great Uncles, Odell Hunter, Nathaniel Hunter, JW Mays, Roosevelt Kelly; one niece, Chasity Watkins and three nephews, Deven, Deitrich and Davison Wright; and host of other relatives and friends.
