Ms. Kimberly Gist answered a call from God and entered into eternal rest on April 19, 2016. She was a native of Spartanburg County.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Pearl Gist, father, Johnnie Earl Gist, brothers, James Earl Gist and Warren Moody.
Kim loved her grandchildren and was always making people laugh. Her favorite thing to say was “it is what it is.”

She leaves to cherish fond memories: one son, Travis A. Gist of Woodruff, SC; five grandchildren, Travis A. Gist Jr., Kimberly E. Gist, Zy’ria Gist, Cerenity Gist, and Aalayah Gist; five brothers, Freddie Young of Spartanburg, SC, Calvin Gist of Woodruff, SC, Jerod Scott of Woodruff, SC, Johnnie Earl Gist II of Woodruff, SC, David Griggs of Cussetta, GA, four sisters, Lisa (David) Mayberry of Upper Marlboro, MD ,Tammy (Craig) Hunter of Duncan, SC, Krystal A. Gist of Duncan, SC, Sabrina Ezenwekwe of Columbus, GA; Stepmother, Ms. Neggie Gist of Woodruff, SC; Stepfather Mr. John Albert Duncan of Woodruff, SC; Uncle, Larry (Anna) Fryer of Woodruff, SC; two aunts, Barbara Rayford and Judy Rayford both of Baltimore, MD and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
