Stephanie Karetha Hunter GIlliam was born March 24, 1959 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Stephanie entered into eternal rest on December 16, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Eugene Hunter and Yvonne Hunter. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Karetha Goggins, parents Eugene and Yvonne Hunter, son Sergeant First Class Garie L. Price, and sister Vona Poole.

A Life Well Lived

She attended school at New Bethel School System in Woodruff, SC and later Morgan State University in the state of Maryland. She was an Ordained Minister at Lanford Grove Holiness Church in Woodruff, SC and St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC. She was a brilliant writer! She loved to write poetry, screen plays, and books. She briefly pursued acting. She was deeply rooted in helping and donating to the women’s shelter and to the homeless.

Those Who Remain

She leaves to cherish Fiance David Spears, her two sons Gregory Price (Tanya) of Freer, SC and Chauncey Hunter (LaShanta) of Spartanburg, SC. One daughter (niece ) Lashunda Hunter of Greer, SC. Five Grandchildren Davorien Ray, Garie Price Jr., Zy’Nasia Hunter, Nykeria Price, and Gregory Price Jr. One great grandson Jeremiah Ray. Two brothers Eugene Hunter of Woodruff, SC, Collier Jones of Enoree, SC, Two sisters Jeradene Hunter of Woodruff, SC, Sherry Beaty (Tyrone) of Woodruff, SC and sister-in-law Marilyn Hunter of Woodruff, SC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
