Mr. William Johnson 61, of Cross Anchor, South Carolina accepted God’s calling on June 18, 2018.

He was born on April 17, 1957 to the late Mr. Jesse Johnson and the late Mrs. Lillie Payne Johnson.

William was the husband of Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McBeth Johnson.

William was a 1975 graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, South Carolina and he received an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice from Piedmont Technical College.

He was a devoted member of St. Vaughnville Baptist Church of Chappells, South Carolina and served his church faithfully. He was a member of the Building Committee and Trustee Board. He was an employee of Walmart Distribution Center of Laurens, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his in-laws Arthur David and Mary Ann McBeth, his sister Jessie Mae Johnson, and his brother-in-law Willie Russell McBeth.

He leaves to cherish fond memories: one son, Mr. William Brent Johnson of Cornelius, North Carolina; one sister Luvenia Johnson of Clinton, South Carolina; one brother Ricky (Albertina) Johnson of Clinton, South Carolina; two brother-in-laws James (Lola) McBeth of Cross Anchor, South Carolina, and Donald Lee McBeth of Lake Emory Nursing Home in Inman, South Carolina; four nephews Marcus (Lisa) McBeth of Chandler, Arizona, Jamie McBeth of Cross Anchor, South Carolina, Jaworski Shelton of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Tariq (Amanda) Shelton of Wellford, South Carolina, two nieces Dessie Latrice Johnson and Sabrina Monique Johnson both of Clinton, South Carolina; and four great-nieces Mishayla and Jayda McBeth of Chandler, Arizona, Azariah and Kaileigh Johnson of Clinton, South Carolina, and one greatnephew Marcus McBeth Jr. of Chandler, Arizona; three aunts, Minnie Johnson Bradshaw, Bobbie J. Payne and Essie Johnson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
