Mr. John Edward Vinson, 70, left and transitioned into eternity on Sunday Night, July 29, 2018.
He was born on February 27, 1948 to Mrs. Sallie Mae Jeter Vinson of Union, SC and the late Mr. Robert Vinson. He was the husband of the late Mattie Elizabeth Foster Vinson.
John worked many years at the Goodyear Inc., before retiring. John enjoyed hunting and fishing.
John left to cherish fond memories, his mother, Mrs. Sallie Mae Jeter Vinson of Union, SC; three sisters, Mrs. Janie M. Hall of Cross Anchor, SC, Ms. Barbara Vinson of Union, SC and Ms. Lucinda Benson of Spartanburg, SC; a special cousin reared in the home as a brother, George Jeter of Union, SC; his in-laws, Addie Briggs, Velma Hunter, Betty Foster, Quency (Cedric) Henson, Marie (Ray) Butler, Clarence Gilliam Jr., and Willie (Mildred) Gilliam; also beloved, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mattie Elizabeth Vinson and joyous daughter Caroline Vinson. His grandparents, Henry Jeter and Janie Glenn Jeter whom were instrumental in his upbringing.
