Ms. Miriam Francis Stevens Brown was born February 7, 1942 in Woodruff, South Carolina to the late Mrs. Margaret Stevens Green and Mr. Pellam Green, Sr. Miriam went home to be with Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
Miriam was a lovely lady who had a heart to give and give and give. She lived several years in Cincinnati, Ohio were she obtained her certificate in Key Punch Operations.
She was married to the late Willie L. Brown and later returned to Woodruff, SC. She worked at Union Carbide/Kemet Electronics for over 33 years as computer operator. She was a member of originally of Landford Grove Holiness Church, Woodruff, SC and in more recent years, she is a member and served faithfully at Grace Cathedral Church in Greenville, SC.
Left to share fond memories is her daughter Pamela W. Brown of Atlanta, Georgia and her Son, Gregory L. Brown (Jackie) of Simpsonville, SC; her sisters, Marchetta Mckissick of Woodruff, SC, Sabrina Hall (Anthony) of Rock Hill, SC, Anna Miller of Woodruff, SC; and her brothers Kevin Green (Odessa) of Greenville, SC and Pellam Green Jr. (Deborah) of Woodruff, SC; She is also survived by her sister/cousin, Mrs. Dorothy Bennett (John) ; Brother/cousin, James “Ducy” Higgins (Mildred); Niece/cousin, Karen Higgins Garrett (Patrick) and Tonya Smith (Darrell); Grandchildren, Hayley Wilson (Steven), Aaron Cotteral, DaNadia Johnson, and Aalayah Brown; great grandchildren, Christian Cotteral, Chloe Wilson, Kennedy Wilson; nieces, Kendra Green, Alexandra Miller, and Brianna Ferguson, Marlece Green; along with her nephews, Xavier Green, Kevin McKissick (deceased); and a very special friend Sarah Shuler; and a host of other relatives and faithful friends.
