Mr. Jesse James Drummond departed his life on October 13, 2019. Mr. Drummond was born on July 2, 1949 in Spartanburg, SC to the late Perry Drummond and Pearl Lipscomb Drummond.
He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church in Woodruff, SC.
Jesse known as “Poppy” to his grandchildren was a loving and caring father and grandfather. “Poppy” spent every chance he could with his grandchildren. He was also known for his love for singing, his dedication to the choir and his great sense of style.
Left to cherish memories are one son, Kelsey Jeter of Woodruff, SC; two daughters, Audrey Downs and Tammy Downs, both of Duncan, SC; brothers, Marshall “MJ” Drummond of Spartanburg, SC, Cornell Drummond of Wellford, SC, Phillip Turner and Jerry Turner, both of Duncan, SC; sisters, Polly Jenkins of Lyman, SC, Debbie Miller of Duncan, SC, Angela Goudelock and April Mayfield, both of Spartanburg, SC, Terrie Martin of Belton, SC, Wendy Turner of Wellford, SC and Karen Turner of Greer, SC; grandchildren, A’Breshia Elmore, Jada Young, Chelsey Jeter, Kelsei Jeter, Mundrea Jeter; great-grandchildren, Heavenly Young, Harmoni Elmore, A’Riah Fuller, M’Ella Fuller, Tyshmann Landrum, Ty’una Landrum; and a host of other relatives and friends.
