MRS. ETHOLA W. GREEN was born on September 30, 1935. She wasthe daughter of the late Anderson White, Jr. and Rose Ella Workman White. She entered Eternal rest on Monday, December 2, 2019.
Mrs. Green attended the Mount Carmel High School in Fountain Inn, South Carolina. She was employed with Laurens Cleaners for seven years and in August of 1975 she began her teaching career with Gleamns Head Start, where she worked for over thirty years.
As a faithful member of White Plains Baptist Church, she served in many positions. She was a Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Vacation Bible School Director, Senior Choir Member, Church Pianist, and president of the Welcome Ministry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Green; one daughter, Carrie Bell White; one son, Charles William Green; three brothers, Odell White, Robert Lee (Martha Ruth) White, Rufus (Florenia) White; two sisters, Elizabeth (James) White and Eloise (Willie Andy) Lomax.
She leaves to cherish loving and fond memories; two daughters, Fredonia Bean of Memphis, TN and Johnnie Mae Green-Pitts of Laurens, SC; two sons, Leroy D. (Claudia) Green of Laurens, SC and Anthony (Annie) Graden of Colorado Springs, CO; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Green of Spartanburg, SC; two uncles, John Workman, Jr. of Philadelphia, PA and Paul Workman of Atlanta, GA; one step sister, Annie Bell Smith of Simpsonville, SC; one step brother, James Thomas Watts of Simpsonville, SC; a special nephew, Charlie White of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also, a special caregiver, Ms. Nellie Hess of Laurens, SC.
